CORIE MATTIE
LA HOPE DEALER is artist Corie Mattie’s artistic expression of providing a platform for voices that go unheard. Her work is intended to shift perspectives and create conversations to initiate change. In honor of her mother Aurora, a late-stage-3 breast cancer survivor, Mattie creates a mural each year to drive funds towards breast cancer programs.
Her work is recognizable from her persistent usage of her yellow and black color-scheme, demanding attention to her message and bold imagery.
Mattie, Los Angeles Woman of the Year 2021, is championed by the LGBTQIA+ community and garners the attention of the NY Times, The Guardian, LA Times, and many more prominent publishers.
Her newest mural “Peace, Love, and P-22” will be unveiled on October 19th in Silver Lake, partnering with the National Wildlife Federation to raise awareness of their wildlife conservation efforts and she’s working on her pieces for her first solo show in January 2023.
Murals of Hope brings together a collection of artists to raise funds for City of Hope’s breast cancer program to further empower their treatment and research capabilities.

City of Hope is a world-class institution that has been designated as an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center since 1982. The center has been internationally recognized for advancing the field of breast cancer through innovative technology, ongoing research and clinical trials, while treating each patient as if they were members of their own family.
City of Hope believes in a collaborative effort to discuss, design and deliver an individual treatment plan to best meet their patients goals. On top of that, they provide supportive care and long-term follow-up programs to help patients and their loved ones manage the process of treatment and recovery. While their developments are recognized internationally, their strongest presence is in their clinical network locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
